Day 615 [June 9/10] -- Steady progress as Hawaii support starts to form

Today's Report
June 9/10 0800 JST / 1400 local

15°13'N, 135°26'W (North Pacific Ocean)

Remaining distance to Yokohama finish:

Another fair day of progress of 112 nm, with winds mostly NE at 13-18 kts. Waves have risen to 3.0 - 3.5 meters likely due to a high pressure system at 1016 hPa passing through, up sharply from yesterday's 1010 hPa.

Support has been initiated in Hawaii in anticipation of a brief stopover there in approx. 10 to 12 days. Several boat owners who knew Saito-san at Keehi Marina, the home marina of the previously named "Perigrine," have separately volunteered to help make the necessary arrangements. We greatly appreciate their generous support, and have put them in touch with each other.
