Progress fell somewhat today, at 103 nm DMG, as wind strength stayed moderate for the second day at 11-15  kts from ENE. Seas were flatter at 1.5 meters and there was a favorable current out of the ESE at between .5 and .7 kts.

He has 562 nm remaining to reach his Hawaii stopover at Keehi Marina, Honolulu, averaging 108 nm a day over the past three days. ETA is in the am on Monday, June 21.

The Hawaii support team of local volunteers Scott Gilbert, Ed Abbott, and Dave Cooper has been busy making preparations for Saito-san's arrival. Actions already taken or under way include arranging for a marina berth, alerting customs and immigration, scheduling a rigger and mechanic, and preparing a tender boat to assist marina entry. (The engine is still inoperable due to an overheating problem that occurred soon after leaving the Galapagos Islands.)

We greatly appreciate the considerable effort involved!
